New “Longevity Vitamin” Proven to Increase Lifespan, Healthspan, and Youthspan
Reverses Signs of Aging... Inside and Out
Few things compel us as much as the thought of a long, healthy, disease-free life. The very idea has been around since the dawn of consciousness. Throughout history, it’s spawned rituals, rites, and folklore. Now, a global research group, headed by the former principal investigator of Novartis Pharmaceuticals, proves that it’s a real possibility. Following eight years of research and development, they have identified a natural compound that increases longevity 11.51% - 31.03%, increases life-long health up to 338%, significantly boosts immunity, and reverses signs of aging both inside and outside the body. That includes the brain, heart, liver, and skin.
The “Longevity Vitamin”, the New Molecule of Life and Health
The discovery of a new human protein is about as rare as finding a new planet. It almost never happens. But in 2005, scientists identified a new membrane-bound transport protein. Transport proteins escort and distribute the nutrients you consume to your cells. But what nutrient did this new protein transport? It would take another two years to answer that question. Then came the announcement: L-Ergothioneine.
That instantly lit a research fuse in the scientific community. In a matter of a few short years, there were over 320 studies on L-Ergothioneine. Dr. Joseph Evans, former principal investigator for Novartis Pharmaceuticals says:“In our initial laboratory studies, the positive results we obtained on lifespan and healthspan were simply overwhelming, and somewhat inexplicable. But when we repeated the studies, we kept getting the same results, over and over again.”
Although it may have been a bit premature at the time, the researchers named this molecule the “Longevity Vitamin.” But before that name could be permanently etched in scientific journals, it would first have to be proven in humans, not just petri dishes.
The Leap from Petri Dish to Humans
To be sure, lab studies are important, but there’s often a wide gulf between results in test tubes and in humans. In 2014, an innovative biotech company, NNB Global Research and Development, assembled a group of 100 scientists spanning 10 countries. Their goals? 1) Prove the benefits of L-Ergothioneine in humans, not just in labs. 2) Establish the clinical dosing of L-Ergothioneine, one that would give real benefits to humans. 3) Develop manufacturing technology that would make pure L-Ergothioneine affordable, as previously it was $800,000 for a mere 32 ounces.
Now in 2022, after eight years, 19 human clinical and human cell studies, three patents, and four patents pending, it is “mission accomplished”. What was once only imagined, suddenly has become a reality. The name of the compound is MitoPrime, the proven “Health and Longevity Vitamin”. The “mito” comes from mitochondria, which, as you’ll see, plays a crucial role in increasing lifespan, healthspan, and yes, youthspan.
A New Era in Human Physiology
But what makes MitoPrime so unique in the world of human molecular biology? What can it do that was not possible previously? What effects and outcomes can it have on your life?
MitoPrime is the first molecule proven to positively affect all aspects of aging, health, and immunity
In pharma-model studies, MitoPrime proved, for the first time, that lifespan can be increased 11%-30%
MitoPrime is the only compound that can increase health, vigor, and energy 338% through all stages of life
MitoPrime is the farthest reaching, deepest penetrating, most comprehensive oral antioxidant known.
It was proven 10-15 times more effective than the well-known polyphenols in fruits and vegetables.
In a human clinical trial with women 35 - 55, MitoPrime created skin that appears 10-20 years younger.
MitoPrime is the first and only compound that can protect and repair your entire genetic make up, including your DNA and life-force generating mitochondria
Dr. Evans summed it up succinctly when he was interviewed in July 2022…“In its totality, MitoPrime amplifies the positive actions of your genes, removes the negative effect of lifestyle behaviors, and helps restore the strong, youthful condition of your cells. This is really a scientific first.”
Understandably, intelligent skeptics will want to know exactly how all of this is possible. Here are the proven scientific facts.
MitoPrime Is the Most Powerful, Comprehensive, Full Body Oral Antioxidant Known
Today, practically everyone knows the harmful effects of free radicals, and the deleterious, health-damaging oxidative damage they inflict. Free radicals attack every organ in your body, including skin. This explains why antioxidants, either as a solo product or part of a dietary formula, fly off of store shelves. But as Dr. Evans explains, “This gives consumers a false sense of security. Few people understand how little of the antioxidants they take enter the body, and how short a time they work for.”
Antioxidants, as a whole, have very poor bioavailability. Meaning only a small part of what you ingest is usable. Once their treacherous journey through the gut into the bloodstream is complete, they then have to contend with resistance from cell barriers. And there are significant losses at each biological check point.
For example, look at the polyphenols in the fruits and vegetables that you eat. The scientific reality is, that for every 100 grams you ingest, fewer than 10 grams actually get absorbed. The remainder is flushed out through your system. MitoPrime, on the other hand, enjoys 100% bioavailability. Remember, MitoPrime is an amino acid, and amino acids get VIP treatment, something like an armed escort from mouth to cell. In fact, a human cell study conducted in 2021 showed that MitoPrime was 10-15 times more effective as an antioxidant than the polyphenols in fruits and vegetables.
In case you’re wondering, GAE stands for Gallic Acid Equivalent. This is a unit of measure used in clinical settings that allows scientists to compare the antioxidant capacity of different classes of molecules.
To make matters worse, the half-life (time of efficacy) of antioxidants can be as short as 10 minutes. This is the case with glutathione, which is considered the ‘master antioxidant.’ By contrast, MitoPrime’s half-life is 768 hours, the highest of all known oral antioxidants. This also gives MitoPrime the highest Antioxidant Efficacy Rating (AER), a system the MitoPrime researches devised to factor in both bioavailability and half-life in one metric. See tables 1, 2, for a comparison of antioxidants, many of which you have heard of, and some you may even use.
The lead researcher suggests that ideally, the Antioxidant Efficacy Rating should be above 100. (See table 3)
You can easily see the marked advantage of MitoPrime has over the plant based polyphenols in fruits and vegetables. If you’re wondering why oral glutathione has such a low bioavailability, there three factors working against it: 1) the glutathione molecule is simply too big to be absorbed by humans; 2) ingested glutathione gets chewed up by enzymes in the gut; 3) what little that may be absorbed gets quickly broken down by enzymes in the blood.
A final, but equally important, word about MitoPrime’s antioxidant capacity.
The antioxidants your body (and skin) needs come in two forms. The first are those you get through your diet, or diet-derived. The second are endogenous antioxidants, meaning they are a natural part of your body’s make up, and do not depend on external sources. Only MitoPrime elevates levels of both types.
You see, in addition to being your skin’s most powerful diet-derived antioxidant, MitoPrime raises levels of the most important endogenous antioxidant, glutathione. This is extremely important, as the glutathione molecule is too big to be absorbed by humans.
In a June 2021 human clinical study, MitoPrime raised the levels of glutathione by 146%. The significance of this increase is magnified even more when you consider that glutathione levels decline due to aging. As Dr. Evans pointed out in a scientific review, “MitoPrime (L-Ergothioneine) is the first and only ingredient proven to elevate glutathione. Given the marked increase, we’re certain that MitoPrime can restore glutathione to youthful levels.”
What’s more, an August 2021 study proved that MitoPrime activated and protected the body’s complete antioxidant gene panel by up to a staggering 421%. This gives you complete, full body protection from the damaging effects of free radicals. Keep in mind, unlike the majority of “short term” antioxidants, MitoPrime works 24 hors a day (refer to table 2 above).
Are you beginning to see the significance to your health, longevity, energy levels, and quality of life?
But perhaps the biggest benefit of MitoPrime is its ability to protect your genetic material, such as your DNA, mitochondria, and mitochondrial DNA. Because we now know the number one predictor of health and longevity is the condition of these genomic elements.
How do you help keep your genome healthy?
The biggest threat to your DNA comes in the form of two destructive acids. Hypobromous acid and hypochlorous acid. These are part of a specific, and little known, type of free radicals known as the “reactive chlorine species.” Unlike the well known free radicals caused by reactive oxygen species and reactive nitrogen species, damaging free radicals from the reactive chlorine species are extremely difficult to neutralize. During youth, the body seems to have sufficient defense mechanisms to keep these acids at bay. Not so during aging. Until recently, that is.
Here, MitoPrime helps in ways not possible before. A very recent study demonstrated that L-Ergothioneine neutralizes both of these DNA-damaging acids directly at the source. Giving added support to L-Ergothioneine’s name, the “Longevity Vitamin.”
Interestingly, that makes MitoPrime the only known antioxidant agent capable of neutralizing all four species of free radicals in skin: reactive oxygen species (ROS), reactive nitrogen species (RNS), reactive chlorine species (RCS), and inflammation induced species (IIS).
But what may be of even importance, is that MitoPrime is the only known antioxidant capable of entering and protecting your all-important mitochondria and mitochondrial DNA (yes, mitochondria have their own DNA).
Mitochondria, as you may remember from your high school biology class, are the powerhouses of your cells. They provide 100% of the energy cells in your body need to function properly. But past the age of 21, mitochondria start experiencing damage. That’s when mitochondrial numbers begin to diminish. This lowers both your daily energy and the energy your body needs to function correctly.
Here, MitoPrime exerts an overwhelmingly positive influence
The results of a September 2021 MitoPrime study showed that MitoPrime increased mitochondrial numbers by a full 20% (table 2). When you consider that every 1% increase in the number of mitochondria you have creates cells that are estimated to be a full year biologically younger, 20% is quite significant.
The second MitoPrime study, conducted in early 2022, proved the real effect of this increase in mitochondrial numbers. Cell energy and functionality increased by over 15% (table 3). This heightened, and usable, energy gives your cells the energy they need to help keep you strong, fit, and healthy.
You’ll also notice how MitoPrime increased cell energy (table 3), both under normal conditions and during oxidative stress. This phenomenon was previously seen only during youth.
What we still don’t know is, if one of MitoPrime’s bio-functions is more important than the others. What we do know, is that the sum of MitoPrime’s bio-actions increases health, lifespan, and vigor.
You Are the Sum of Your Cells
The simple truth is, you are the sum of your cells. Cells make up tissues. Tissues make up organs. Organs make up, you. But what makes your cells healthy? Those very same elements that MitoPrime protects and restores: your DNA, Mitochondria and mitochondrial DNA.
But possibly the most exciting news in health and longevity may be MitoPrime’s unique ability to prevent and eliminate what skin researchers call “zombie cells”. Yes, this is for real.
5) MitoPrime Prevents Your Cells from Turning into “Zombie Cells”
The last few years have seen a major shift in research on aging in organ health. Today, the focus is on identifying and/or developing compounds known as Senolytics and Senostatics. Yes, these are new words representing a new aspect of biology. If you Google “Senostatic,” it tells you that it is an agent that prevents cells in your body from becoming damaged. The “Senolytic,” goes a step further and removes damaged cells making room for healthy cells. Here’s how it works.
Though not always obvious, research scientists often have a great sense of humor. For example, the name they gave to damaged cells that are either dead or dying is ‘Zombie Cells.’ The actual scientific term is “senescent cells.” These zombie cells take up space where healthy, fully-functioning cells should be, but are not. These non-functioning cells diminish the cell’s performance and functionality. They can create a host unwanted health conditions. The real problem is, during aging these zombie cells keep accumulating in all organs including heart, brain, kidney, liver, lungs and skin. Eyes, too. That’s why pharmaceutical companies are devoting major funding to senostatics and senolytics. Here again, is another unique aspect of MitoPrime.
In a March 2022 study, MitoPrime was shown to be a highly effective senostatic, preventing cells from becoming Zombie Cells. Additional studies suggest that MitoPrime functions as a bona fide senolytic, removing Zombie Cells and replacing them with healthy skin cells. What we do know is that L-Ergothioneine (MitoPrime) increases the number of healthy, fully-functional cells by 45%. This is certainly good news for anyone wanting to create and maintain a vibrant healthy body and brain.
4) MitoPrime Creates Youthful Looking Skin
Molecular biologists understand that what you see on the outside of the body is a good example of what is going on inside the body. It’s no wonder that your average 12 year-old has both great organ health and great looking skin. By contrast, a person in their 80’s will show signs of aging both inside and out.
In fact, the connection between health, youth, and appearance in now a medical fact. So, it should not be shocking to find out that MitoPrime has an enormous positive influence on the condition of your skin.
Most everyone today uses sunscreen, in one form or anther. The sun, of course, causes wrinkles. That’s not news. But what is news is exactly why and how the sun causes those wrinkles. And what you can do to reverse the damage. A recent clinical trial identified the exact mechanisms through which sunlight and airborne toxins cause skin to wrinkle, lose elasticity, and become dull looking. The results were, indeed, shocking.
We now have scientific proof that it’s a result of a deletion in the Mitochondrial DNA. A 30% deletion.
Keep in mind, this is not the “regular” (nuclear) DNA that identifies your ancestors. This is your mitochondrial DNA. It’s shape is circular, not the twisted double helix of nuclear DNA. And unlike nuclear DNA, the mitochondrial DNA is very susceptible to damage. Especially from sunlight and common airborne toxins. Not even sunscreen can completely protect skin from this deletion. But as little known as this phenomenon may be, it happens with such frequency that it’s known as the “Common Deletion.”
In simple terms, it means that the original size of the mtDNA shrinks by 30%. Basically like going from the size of a grapefruit to a lemon. Although antioxidants have the “potential” to help protect the mitochondrial DNA, they cannot. That’s because antioxidants have no ability to penetrate the mitochondria. Except for one, L-Ergothioneine (MitoPrime). That’s because only L-Ergothioneine (MitoPrime) has “nutrient transporters” densely concentrated in the mitochondria. This is a biologically unique feature of L-Ergothioneine. Then came a piece of good news.
But that was just the beginning of MitoPrime’s effect on skin
The real world results of MitoPrime’s bio-actions can be seen in a January 2022 human clinical trial with women 35-75 years old. This proved that MitoPrime not only protected skin but actually reversed skin damage, in some cases 5 decades of damage.
MitoPrime Increased Smoothness (wrinkle depth reduction) of Skin 40%
MitoPrime Increased Skin Radiance 39%
MitoPrime Increased Skin Luminosity 44%
MitoPrime Improved Skin Texture 21%
MitoPrime Improved Skin Elasticity 29%
MitoPrime Improved Skin Tone Evenness 44%
MitoPrime Increased Hydration 36%
MitoPrime Reduced Skin Inflammation & Unfavorable Skin Bacteria
One area of the face where it used to be considered extremely difficult to create better skin is around the eyes. Especially the upper eye. But see Figure 1. You’ll notice the dramatic effects of MitoPrime, in just a few weeks.
This is an actual photograph from the MitoPrime double blind, placebo controlled, clinical trial.
Products may come and go. But proven science remains, as with this new discovery of the “Health & Longevity Vitamin,” MitoPrime.
While the MitoPrime research team may have felt inspired by their landmark discovery, they’re never completely satisfied until two critical events happen. 1) The first event is proof that the discovery has real world use. With MitoPrime, that was satisfied with the results of human clinical trials. 2) The second event is validation by the entire scientific community, and approval by the legal profession. That, of course, can only be accomplished through patents. Last year, a scientific and legal review board gave the thumbs up on multiple patent filings for MitoPrime. Just recently, three more patents concerning health, longevity, wellness, and appearance have been filed. This signifies that the discovery is not only significant and proven, but that it is genuinely new, never before seen, unexpected, and, for at least 17 years, not able to be copied.
NNB Biotech’s patent filings now include: “Reversing the Signs of Aging in Humans,” “Ameliorating Aging in Mammals, including Humans,” “Restoring Human Cells to the Condition of Youth,” “Upregulating DNA Repair Pathways,” “Reducing Chronic Inflammation,” “Improving Eye Health,” and “Modulating Immune Response.”
Call it what you like: ‘Longevity Vitamin’, ‘Health & Longevity Vitamin,’ or ‘Restorer of Youthful Conditions,’ one thing is for certain, MitoPrime has ushered in a new era in human physiology, and there’s no going back.
